DESCRIPTION:
EMEC CARB is a blend of sized calcium carbonate particles
for use as bridging agent and plugging material for lost circulation
problems.
APPLICATION:
EMEC CARB is available in three-size range:
FINE
5 - 400 Microns
MEDIUM 100 - 1000 Microns
COARSE 60 - 2500 Microns
It is designed primarily for use in work over & completion
fluids since its particle are soluble in hydrochloric acid (HCL)
TECHNICAL INFORMATION:
EMEC CARB can be used as weighting material & may
be used in absence of clays to provide wall cake build-up in acid
soluble drilling fluids. It may also be used as a soluble bridging
agent to minimize fluid invasion into producing zones, especially
in porous formations.
MIXING PROCEDURES PACKING:
A. Mixing on Circulating Systems: -
Normal treatment is 5 to 10 lb/bbl of
fine grade of EMEC CARB.
All additions should be mixed at suction
pit to minimize settling problems.
B. Mixing Pills:-
Order of adding EMEC CARB should be of
ascending size basis.
EMEC CARB F, EMEC CARB M, followed by
EMEC CARB C.
However if planed to pump multiple pills. Start with larger particles
EMEC CARB . Coarse & Medium & then proceed with smaller
particles.
PACKAGING:
EMEC CARB is packaged in 25 kg multi wallpaper bag.
HAZARDS:
EMEC CARB is non-toxic product, no special cars is required
while mixing.
