BACTERICIDES, CORROSION AND SCALE INHIBITORS

EMEC COAT-B

DESCRIPTION:
EMEC COAT-B is a water-soluble blend of fatty amines corrosion inhibitor. It is a black liquid, which forms a protective film on all metal surfaces to prevent corrosion attack.

APPLICATION:
EMEC COAT-B is highly effective as a corrosion inhibitor additive in brines and it is particularly recommended for treating packer and completion fluids. EMEC COAT-B includes an oxygen scavenger for removal of oxygen microbiocide, which causes corrosion.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION:
EMEC COAT-B can be added through the hopper or chemical barrel. It should be added as close to the pump suction as possible during circulation to help prevent spot concentrations. Since EMEC COAT-B will be absorbed on solids in water base completion systems, it is recommended that the dosage be increased depending on amount of solids present. Normal treatment for packer or completion fluids is:

- 1 DRUM/100 BBL IN CLEAR FLUIDS.
- 1 - 1 1/2 DRUMS/100 BBL IN FLUIDS UP TO 10 PPG.
- 2 - 3 DRUMS/100 BBL IN FLUIDS OVER 10 PPG.

PACKAGING:
EMEC COAT-B is supplied in 55 gal per steel drum.

HAZARDS:
Precautions should be taken while handling.
