DESCRIPTION:
EMEC COAT-D is a filming alcohol of fatty amine type corrosion
inhibitor. It is a dark amber liquid that forms a thin uniform film
over all exposed metal surfaces.
APPLICATION:
EMEC COAT-D is highly dispersible in both oil and water.
It protects drill string against corrosion attacks.
TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS:
Since EMEC COAT-D is absorbed on solids in a water-base
completion system, it is recommended that concentration should be
increased as solids content increases. However, if large additions
are made to a system containing high solids, sever flocculation
may occur. For normal corrosion condition, 1:5 ratio of EMEC COAT-D
to diesel should be added while drilling, batch treating or slough
the drill pipe with 1 bbl EMEC COAT-D oil mixture daily. In sever
corrosion conditions, treat with undiluted EMEC COAT-D, the pipe
should be washed thoroughly and spray pins and boxes while tripping.
