DESCRIPTION:
EMEC THIX is pale amber liquid, made of a blend of polymeric
fatty acids in a biodegradable hydrocarbon solvent, EMEC THIX is
an effective viscosifier & fluid loss additive for oil based
mud.
APPLICATION:
EMEC THIX is a viscosifying agent for all oil based mud
systems, it improves the rheological properties of the drilling
fluid mainly the initial & 10 min. Gel strength, It is recommended
to be used in highly deviated & horizontal wells.
EMEC THIX can be added to the freshly prepared or the re-circulating
oil base mud system to provide an excellent improvement of the gel
strengths when the mud is in static conditions. The recommended
dosage is ranging between 1.0 - 2.0 gal/bbl.
PACKAGING:
EMEC THIN is supplied in 55 US gallon/208 liter steel
drum.
HAZARDS:
EMEC THIX is classified as a non-toxic, but goggles &
coveralls should be worn when handling the product, splashing to
the skin should be removed by washing with soap & warm water.
If eyes are affected, irrigation for al least 10 min. With water
or eye bath solution is advised. The product should be stored away
from heat sources and in a ventilated area, drums should be sealed
when not in use.
