DESCRIPTION:
EMEC VIS is temperature stable organophilic clay used
as a gelling agent for oil muds. Such clays are used to suspend
solids when fluid is static and produce carrying capacity when fluid
is circulated.
APPLICATION:
EMEC VIS is used to increase the viscosity of oil base
mud. It also increases gel strength of oil muds for Barite suspension,
secondary EMEC VIS contributes in HP HT control by forming a good
filter cake and its tolerance to high B.H.T without any rheological
changes in the mud.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION:
The concentration of EMEC VIS depends on the oil water
ratio, it is to be noticed that EMEC VIS efficiency decreases as
the water % is decreased, but normally the dosage required to provide
Suspension is 6 - 8 lbs/bbl. EMEC VIS will achieve full yield after
circulating the mud for 2 complete circulation’s. Therefore
it is recommended to start with a law dosage to avoid over treatment
and then increase the dose if necessary. The proper concentration
should be determinate by pilot testing at 150°F.
PACKAGING:
EMEC VIS is packaged in 25 kg multi paper wall bags.
HAZARD:
EMEC VIS is non-toxic product; no special care is required
while mixing.
