DESCRIPTION:
FC-10 is a chrome-free lignosulfonate prepared by an exclusive
process, which eliminates the need for adding chrome. The absence
of added chrome makes FC-10 suitable for use in areas where environmental
concerns may limit the presence of chrome in drilling fluids systems.
It is dark brown water-soluble product.
APPLICATION:
FC-10 is used as thinner and fluid loss reducer in most
types of water base mud systems. Higher concentration of FC-10 induces
an inhibitive effect upon formation clays. It stabilizes water base
mud systems up to very high temperature.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION:
FC-10 controls flow properties and fluid loss of water
base mud system. When temperature approaches 350°F, FC-10 begins
to degrade it is recommended to be used when mud is contaminated
with salt or anhydrite. An optimum treatment with FC-10 is 8-10
ppb. However to deflocculate seawater mud system 4-6 ppb is usually
needed. Concentration is lowered to 2-3 ppb when fresh water mud
system is used. Since FC-10 is acidic, it is advisable to adjust
the pH value after treating mud system with FC-10. It is preferable
to mix caustic soda and FC-10 together through the mixing chemical
barrel.
PACKAGING:
FC-10 is packaged in 25 kg per multi wallpaper bag.
