DESCRIPTION:
GUAR GUM is modified polysaccharide in the form of a granular powder.
It can be used in Fresh water or brine systems.
APPLICATION:
GUAR GUM is used to build up the viscosity of drilling fluid for
top-hole drilling wells. Low concentrations of GUAR GUM provide
high viscosity either in fresh or salt water. Filtration control
can also be achieved as well as viscosity, especially when clays
or inert drilled solids are present.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION:
GUAR GUM is fully active; so only a small amount is needed to achieve
high viscosity in short time (0.5 to 2.0 LB/bbl). It will degrade
within 24 hours under most conditions and viscosity will revert
back to nearly as of water. It is often desirable to be used in
surface hole or treat the fluid with preservative such as EMEC CIDE
to avoid degradation and retain viscosity.
PACKAGING:
GUAR GUM is packaged in 25 kgs/multi wallpaper bag.
HAZARD:
GUAR GUM is non-toxic product; no special care is required while
mixing.
