DESCRIPTION:
POTASSIUM CHLORIDE is white granular powder, the most
frequently used grades are 97% and 99% KCL with a specific gravity
of 1.99.
APPLICATION:
POTASSIUM CHLORIDE is a particularly economical and efficient
inhibitor when critical water sensitive shale formations are encountered.
Where K-ions displace the Na+, Ca++ and H+ ions this compacting
the shale and minimizing swelling and sloughing. KCL is also used
in mixed salt system when complex salt structures are to be penetrated.
It is used in concentrations ranging from 3% to 20% by weight. The
maximum achievable density is 9.6 ppg.
PACKAGING:
POTASSIUM CHLORIDE is packaged in 50 kg polythin sacks.
