DESCRIPTION:
MICA is selected non -abrasive mineral mica available
in Three different size grades (fine,medium and coarse)
APPLICATION:
MICA is used to prevent and regain lost circulation while
drilling in porous formations. It can be mixed in mud system when
seepage losses are anticipated.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION:
MICA is inert and does not affect any mud properties.
Accordingly when losses are expected, fine MICA can be mixed with
concentration of 10-15 lbs/bbl of mud while drilling and prior entering
loss zone. 20 mesh shaker screens could be installed rather than
by passing the shaker. In sever loss of returns, different grades
of MICA together with EMEC Plug and EMEC Seal are recommended to
be spotted across the thief zone (bit nozzles should be taken into
consideration, prior selecting the type, size and conc. of L.C.M).
PACKAGING:
MICA (Fine, Medium, and Coarse) each is in 25 kg per multi
wallpaper bag.
HAZARDS:
Precautions for dust are adequate to safe guard health.
