DESCRIPTION:
SHALE DRILL (P) is a high molecular weight synthetic polymer
formulated to protect shale formation and provide hole stability.
It can also be supplied in a liquid form under the name, SHALE DRILL
(L) .
APPLICATION:
SHALE DRILL is used to encapsulate drilled cuttings of
clay and shale to prevent their desperation into the mud system
when they are traveling in the annuals from bit to surface to be
discarded. It also coats the wall of the well preventing hydratable
shales from swelling. Its secondary effect is as a fluid loss reducer
and viscosifying agent. SHALE DRILL is easily mixed and yield in
fresh water, seawater, saturated salt water, KCL solution, dispersed
and non-dispersed mud systems.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION:
SHALE DRILL is normally used in drilling shale formations
and in low solids mud systems to provide shale stability and low
solids content in the mud. Dosage of mixing SHALE DRILL is varied
from 1.0 to 4.0 ppb.

SHALE DRILL-P is in powder form packaged in 25 kg per
multi wallpaper bags.
SHALE DRILL-L in liquid form supplied in 5 gals/can.
